The story
manyCalendars started as a side project born out of frustration. The founder was juggling three client calendars simultaneously: one on Google Workspace, one on a locked-down corporate Outlook tenant, and one on an Apple Calendar shared link. No single tool could show all three in one view without requiring IT approval, OAuth tokens, or admin credentials that contractors simply do not have.
Every morning started with the same ritual: open three browser tabs, manually cross-reference events, and hope nothing overlapped. Double-bookings happened more than once. The existing calendar aggregation tools all required server-side access to your data, which meant either begging IT for API permissions or handing your credentials to a third party. Neither option was acceptable.
So the founder built a browser extension that reads calendars locally, directly from the tabs already open in the browser. No server. No OAuth dance. No IT ticket. Just one unified view of every calendar, running entirely on your machine.
What started as a personal tool quickly resonated with other contractors, freelancers, and professionals managing multiple commitments. The extension is now open to the community and actively maintained.

How we're funded
manyCalendars has no venture capital, no outside investors, and no advisory board pushing for growth metrics. The product is funded entirely by subscriptions from the people who use it.
This matters because it means our incentives are aligned with yours. We do not need to monetize your data, sell your usage patterns, or optimize for engagement. We need to build a tool that is worth paying for. That is the entire business model.
Subscriptions keep the model simple because the underlying costs are genuinely low. Since we do not operate servers that store your calendar data, our infrastructure costs are limited to a license verification endpoint and a static marketing site. There is no per-user storage cost that scales with time, so a small recurring fee covers our costs and then some.
