Four themes, one calendar
manyCalendars ships with four themes: Latte, Frappe, Macchiato, and Mocha. One light, three dark, each tuned so your event colors and conflict badges stay readable.
You switch themes in Settings. The change applies instantly, no reload needed, and the choice is saved locally in your browser. Like everything else in manyCalendars, it stays on your device, not in our cloud.
What each theme looks like
- Latte is the light theme. A warm off-white background with dark text. Best for bright rooms, daytime work, and projectors that wash out dark interfaces.
- Frappe is the softest of the dark themes. A muted blue-gray background with gentle contrast. A good first step if you usually work in light mode but want something easier on the eyes in the evening.
- Macchiato sits between Frappe and Mocha. Darker, cooler tones with a bit more contrast, so event colors stand out more.
- Mocha is the darkest theme. A deep, near-black background with the most vivid accent colors. Built for late nights, dim rooms, and OLED screens.
How to switch
- Click the manyCalendars icon in your browser toolbar to open your calendar view.
- Click the gear icon in the top right to open Settings.
- Find the Theme section. You will see all four options: Latte, Frappe, Macchiato, and Mocha.
- Click the theme you want. It applies immediately, so you can preview each one in place.
- Close Settings. Your choice is saved automatically.
Tip: switching is safe to do at any time. Themes only change colors, never your calendars, events, or settings. Click through all four and let your eyes pick the winner.
One thing to know
Because manyCalendars stores everything locally and runs no sync server, your theme choice stays on the device where you set it. If you use the extension on a work laptop and a personal laptop, set the theme once on each.
Themes vs Privacy Mode
Themes and Privacy Mode are different features. Themes change how manyCalendars looks to you day to day. Privacy Mode swaps the whole app for a neutral, generic calendar view when you share your screen, so another client's meeting details stay off it.
Privacy Mode is a Pro feature. If you screen share with clients often, manyCalendars Pro is worth a look. For everything else themes can do, you are already set.
