Tutorial: Using Privacy Mode for Screen Shares

What Privacy Mode does
Privacy Mode changes three things about manyCalendars's appearance:
Tab title. Instead of showing "manyCalendars" or "manyCalendars - Calendar," the browser tab displays a plain, generic "Calendar." To anyone glancing at your tab bar, it just reads as a calendar, with no product name and nothing that hints at how many clients you are juggling.
Color scheme. The calendar grid, sidebar, and header switch to a neutral, unbranded look with plain colors and no logos. At screen-share resolution it reads as an ordinary calendar and does not call attention to itself.
Sidebar labels. Calendar source names in the sidebar are simplified. Instead of showing "Client A - Google Calendar" and "Client B - Outlook," Privacy Mode can display generic labels like "Calendar," "Work," and "Other" that do not reveal which organizations you work with.
How to turn it on
Step 1. Open manyCalendars's calendar view in your browser.
Step 2. Click the settings icon (gear) in the top-right corner of the manyCalendars interface.
Step 3. Find the "Appearance" section. Toggle "Privacy Mode" to on. The neutral generic view is the default.
Step 4. That is it. If you want a different look for your own screen, you can opt into an alternate appearance from the same panel, but it is never the default.
Step 5. The change applies immediately. No page reload required. Check the browser tab title to confirm it now reads "Calendar."
When to use it
Screen shares. Turn Privacy Mode on before any screen share where your calendar might be visible. Even if you plan to share a specific window, accidents happen. Someone asks you to switch to full-screen share. You accidentally show your desktop. Privacy Mode is your fallback so another client's meeting titles never surface.
Presentations. If you are presenting from your laptop and your calendar is open in another tab, anyone in the room can see the tab title. A plain "Calendar" does not invite questions, and it does not put other clients' names on display.
Coworking and coffee shops. Shoulder-surfing is a real concern when you work in shared spaces. Privacy Mode keeps a stranger walking by from reading your clients' meeting details.
How to toggle back
Go to Settings, find Appearance, toggle Privacy Mode off. manyCalendars returns to its standard look immediately. Your calendar configurations, events, and preferences are not affected. Privacy Mode is purely cosmetic.
You can also set Privacy Mode as your default if you prefer to always have it on. In Settings, check "Enable Privacy Mode on startup." manyCalendars will launch in the neutral generic view every time, and you only see the manyCalendars branding when you explicitly toggle it off.
Client confidentiality should not require looking over your shoulder. Privacy Mode lets you keep your unified calendar open all day without exposing one client's details to another. Get manyCalendars free.
