Quick Tip: How to Manually Add Events That Live Nowhere Digital

Not everything is on a digital calendar

Some commitments never make it onto any calendar. A recurring in-person coffee meeting with a mentor. A school pickup at 3:15 PM that you just know about. Travel time between client sites. A gym session you protect like a meeting. These time blocks are real, they occupy your schedule, and they can conflict with your other calendars. But they are invisible to manyCalendars if you do not add them.

Adding manual events

In manyCalendars, click on the time slot in the calendar grid where you want to create an event. A quick-add form appears. Enter the title ("Gym," "School pickup," "Travel to client site"), set the start and end times, and save. The event now lives in manyCalendars's local storage and appears on the grid just like any synced or imported event.

The key benefit: manual events participate in conflict detection. If your 3:15 PM school pickup overlaps with a meeting that gets booked on one of your client calendars, manyCalendars flags the conflict. Without the manual event, that overlap would be invisible.

Manual events also factor into availability export. When you generate your available time slots, school pickup time and gym time are excluded. Nobody gets offered those slots.
