Availability export now supports half-day ranges
Previously, the availability export generated slots for your full working day. If you only wanted to share afternoon availability, you had to manually edit the output. Now you can select a half-day range (morning only, afternoon only) when generating your availability export. This is especially useful when you have a standing commitment that fills your mornings (or afternoons) and you only want to offer the other half of your day for scheduling.
To use it: open the availability export panel, select the day range as usual, then toggle the half-day filter to "Morning" or "Afternoon." The exported slots will only include times within that window.
Improved conflict detection for multi-day events
We fixed a bug where multi-day events (conferences, off-sites, multi-day workshops) were not being checked against single-day events on the days they spanned. If you had a 3-day conference on Calendar A and a meeting on day 2 of that conference on Calendar B, the conflict was not being flagged. It is now. Multi-day events are expanded into their individual day ranges before conflict comparison, so every overlapping event on every spanned day is correctly detected.
New onboarding walkthrough for first-time users
First-time users now see a guided walkthrough when they open manyCalendars for the first time. The walkthrough covers the three essential steps: opening a calendar tab, watching manyCalendars detect it, and viewing the unified calendar. It takes about 60 seconds and replaces the previous "getting started" documentation link that most people never clicked. If you have already set up manyCalendars, you will not see the walkthrough, but you can replay it from Settings if you want to onboard a colleague.
Edge extension now auto-updates
The Microsoft Edge version of manyCalendars previously required a manual update check in the extensions panel. We resolved a packaging issue that was preventing Edge from recognizing new versions automatically. Going forward, the Edge extension will update in the background just like the Chrome version. If you are running an older version on Edge, you will receive the update within 24 hours.
What is next
We are working on calendar color customization (let you pick the color for each calendar source), improved ICS feed refresh intervals, and a keyboard shortcut for quick-switching between day and week views. These are on track for the next release cycle.
